About Jerash University





                     Welcome to the University of Jerash,
                     which bears the name of a city founded
                     during the reign of Alexander the Great
                     in the 4th century BC; its name means
                     "a  place  with  too  many  trees."
                     Welcome to Jerash University, with its
                     richness and solid history, a university
                     situated in that city which combines the
                     Roman, Arab and Islamic Civilizations; it manifests the superb engineering
                     and glorious architecture that inspired the most senior architects in the world;
                     the largest and richest cities were built following Jerash architectural pattern,
                     including  Rome  and  Washington  DC.  Jerash  simply  means  water  and
                     greenness,  valley  of  gold  and  beauty,  Jerash  the  Kairouan  and  the  Two
                     Pools, forests and valleys, tourism and agriculture.

                     On the 23rd of October 1991, six of Jordan's good and righteous men, after
                     lengthy consultations, agree to establish the University of Jerash, they are:
