The Department of Physics has striven since its establishment in 1993 to be an administrative unit with unique characteristics and noble goals. The department’s focus is to graduate highly skilled science professionals, keeping up with the requirements of local and international markets and actively contributing to building and advancing society based on scientific and moral principles.
As such, and in order to gain all requirements of scientific excellence, the Department of Physics relies on specialized faculty members with a range of academic rankings, as well as a group of highly qualified lab supervisors. Our faculty members and supervisors work earnestly to elevate the academic level of the department’s students. Furthermore, the department is always working to update study programs and to keep up with scientific advancements.
Moreover, to achieve the sought after quality of education, the department contains a variety of comprehensive state of the art labs and uses advanced electronic teaching aids in its classrooms, providing a suitable educational environment for its students.
We also distinguish ourselves by interacting with the scientific community through seminars, workshops, and annual celebrations and events, as well as organizing purposeful scientific visits.
