The Department of Architectural Engineering's bachelor's program was established at Jerash University by the Resolution of the Higher Education Institution Accreditation Commission No. 2015/27/451 dated 02/09/2015.
The Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering at Jerash University seeks to achieve its vision towards a distinguished department in the teaching of architecture in the production of outstanding scientific research. This research it is hoped, will contribute to the development of engineering projects by graduating outstanding and creative architects in the fields of architecture. We also aim to continuously update and improve study plans according to the needs of the local community and global technological development. The study plan was designed in accordance with the special accreditation standards issued by the Jordanian Higher Education Accreditation Authority and in line with international standards.
Architecture as a field of study stands together with other fields specialized in designing and construction, and has social and moral obligations. These obligations are closely connected to the educational and creative function of architecture, taking into account its serious effect on the life of mankind and the environment. Considering the consequences of irresponsible planning and construction, we at Jerash University are inclined to take a positive part in the innovation and development of architecture and city planning and reflect such a vision in our academic programs and curriculum, as well as living up to the future challenges in teaching, research and social activities.
