1- تزويد الطلبة بمنظومة معرفية متنوعة وشاملة تتيح لهم التفاعل بايجابية مع متغيرات الحياة.
2- تخريج باحثين أكفاء بمنهجية سوية في قراءة المعطيات الأدبية وتحليلها.
3- تحسين السوية العلمية والمهنية لأداء أعضاء هيئة التدريس.
4- التبصر في الخطط الدراسية ومراجعتها لمواكبة المستجدات.
يسعى قسم اللغة الانجليزية وآدابها إلى تخريج طلبة متميزين في أقسامها لديهم كفاءة معرفية شاملة وقدرات لغوية في العربية والانجليزية والترجمة وخبرات أدائية في الدرس الأدبي والنقدي ومهارات تسعف الترجمة من اللغتين وتوظيف المعرفة في الحياة.
تسعى كلية الآداب في جامعة جرش إلى التميز في الأداء والتميز في نوعية المخرجات العلمية القادرة على التطوير والتغيير من خلال الأطروحات الآتية:- تطوير البحث العلمي وتفعيل رسالته في كل مفاصل الحياة.- تخريج جيل يتمسك بثوابته الدينية والاجتماعية والقيمية.- تخريج أجيال واعية لأهمية اللغة العربية الفصحى وتوظيفها في مفاصل الفكر بسوية عالية والعمل على تحسين أداء الطلبة باللغة العربية
