Who we are?

Jerash University was established in 1991, and started teaching in 1993. It is the first private university in the north of Jordan and it is the largest investing establishment in Jerash province which has participated in solving the problems of poverty and unemployment in the area. It has been , from the first day of establishment, working to achieve uniqueness in education and serving local and national society.

Jerash University is located in a distinguished area on the international highway which connect Jordan with neighboring countries and within the same distance, not more than 40km, from the provinces of Amman, Irbid, AlMafraq, Ajloon, Zarqa and Balqa. Accordingly, it is considered the best choice for students from these provinces. Jerash has 11 collages which are: Collage of Art, Educational Science, Economics and Administrative science, Shari'a, Law, Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy and Agriculture. It is the only university among private universities which has agriculture collage which is a distinguished Collage on the national level. There are three Deanships at the university which are the Deanship of Students Affairs, Deanship of Academic Research and Higher studies, and the Deanship of Accreditation and Quality Assurance. Moreover, there are many specialized centers such as Language Center, Center of Counseling and E-Learning.

The number of the students graduated from the university since the time of establishment up to the first semester 2018/2019 is (23083) undergraduate and (706) MA students.

The University has a computerized Library contains more than (124872) book in addition to many periodicals, Journals and scientific publications which cover all specialists. To help students, the university apply the process of easy installment, and provides grants for many institutions and establishments of the local society and for students from Arab and Islamic world mainly for non-native speakers who are studying Arabic and Shari'a.
