Abstract In this study, we examined some biological characteristics for Aspius vorax fishes of Cyprinidae family living in Tishreen lake (Euphrates River), which including age and sex composition, growth in length and weight, age-length, age-weight and length to weight relationships. Moreover, reproduction index such as age of maturity, fecundity, and spawning time were defined. Our results demonstrate that in (226) specimens belonging to age group from one to eight the percentage of females was (%48.25) and (%51.74) for males. this composition don't reveals a large difference of the (1:1) ratio, also, no significant difference (P>0.05) was showed between length of females and males in the fist four groups (I, II, III and IV); while a significant difference (P<0.05) was appeared concerning the age from fifth to eight groups (V, VI, VII, VIII). On the other hand, there were no significant differences between females and males weight concerning the age of two and three groups (II and III). However, a significant difference (P<0.05) showed for the other age groups. Von Bertalanffy's modal for growth in length and weight as follow: ■ Female: L= 78.5614(1 — e^-0.2098(t+0.1323)) W = 4220.8(1 ■ Male: L= 70.703(1— e^ -2425(t+0.1048)) , W = 27600 ■ Combined sexes L = 73.545(1— e^ -02308(t+0.1066)) w = 3279.7 Moreover, we observed that age at fast maturity was fourth and third year old for females and males, respectively. Eggs diamter was 1.2 mm and spawning period extended from late January to April. The fecundity ranged from 36232 to 135605 in conclusion the correlation between fecundity and each one of length-weight, and gonad weight were (r^2 = 0.632), (r^2 = 0.636), and (r^2 = 0.797) respectively. Key Words: Aspius vorax, Growth, Reproduction, Fecundity. Tishreen Lake. .

Abstract pesticides are considered as environmental pollutants where its wide use in pest control affects the natural equilibrium of different genera of living organism and increases pollution in water and soil. This leads to change in ecological system, and consequently, the health and safety of human and animals will be affected. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of Deltamethrine on the morphogenesis of foetus and larvae of two frog generes; Hyla arborea and Bufo viridis in Lattalcia region. the results. indicate that Deltamethrine to have a toxic effect, on larvae morphogenesis and foetus development. This toxicity variety in amplitude on larvae and foetus embryogenesis, but it effect on foetus and larvae Bufo viridis was greater than that on foetus and larvae of Hyla arborea ..

Abstract This study aimed at developing an integrative model for the social and citizenship text-book for the 4th basic grade and testing its effectiveness on the achievement this class in Jordan compared with the achievement of the pupils in the same class who study the same textbook. The sample of study consisted of (225) male and female pupils. The experimental group (110) pupils were taught the integrative model, whereas the controlled group (115) pupils were taught the educational material as it is in the school textbook all over the second semester of the scholastic year 2005/2006. To test the effectiveness of this model, the researcher built an achievement test comprising (50) multiple-choice items. The test was conducted on the two groups of study as a pre-test and post-test. The statistical test showed that there are differences of statistical indication at (0.005=α) between the achievement of both of the experimental and controlled groups of study in favor of the groups that studied the educational material according to the integrative model. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the necessity for organizing the educational material in the school textbooks according to the integrative model that is based on criteria derived from theories of learning and teaching and psychological and logical bases in building the modern curricula. .

Abstract The research includes an introduction, the overview and four topics us follows A-The oral characteristics of the sound level. B- The oral characteristics of the meaning of the words. C- The oral characteristics of the linguistic standard. D- The narrative style. The introduction puts forth the importance of the research and its method. The overview deals with the effects of disconnecting the language phenomenon in Sassure and Comsky. And treats expression in Bally, spoken ut-terance in Jakbson and context in Riffaterre The first topic deals with the characteristics of delivery, repetition, rhyming, puns, and grammatical parallelism. The second topic studies antithesis, stream of consciousness, similarity of meaning, and diction. Abstract This study aims at evaluating spelling performance of Tabouk Teachers' College stu-dents. For this purpose, a diagnostic test in spelling is prepared. It has 50 items testing four spelling issues: 1- glottal stop (hamza) 2- soft /a/ (alef layenah) 3- rounded /hi (ta' marbutah) and spread /t/ (ta' maftooha) 4- omitting and adding letters as well as connecting words. The research tool is implemented on a sample of 147 students from the 6th and 7th levels. These students are from Arabic Language Dept., Quran Studies Dept., Science Dept., and Mathematics Dept. After correcting the test and finishing statistical treatments, it is shown that the average of the students' performance in spelling is 62.35 %. This record is below educational standard. The differences between the two averages are statistically significant (0.05). To upgrade the spelling performance of Teachers' Colleges students, the study lists a set of recommendations that may contribute to improving and developing the educational process generally, and improving the spelling performance of Teachers' Colleges students in particular. .

Abstract We live in the age of information and its revolution. There has been a great progress in the field of scientific development. While humanity took centuries to move from the agriculture age into the industry age, it has taken only decades to move towards atomic age and then to space age. We can see nowadays technological development every hour. There is a great challenge facing the developing countries, especially the Arab countries, which are the huge technology revolution and developments that force these countries to take actions to reduce the gab with other countries to be able to make some advantages of these developments. These developments heavily affected the teaching institutions, making the use of the internet and other teaching media one of the best methods used to make the teaching process as effective as possible. In this paper, we will study new teaching techniques used overall the world and the challenges to the education in the Arab world under the vision of the information technology revolution. We will also discuss the requirements to include these new technologies in the teaching process in the developing countries, especially in the Arab world. Despite of the great success gained by the teaching institutions using these methods, there are still great difficulties facing our educational institutions. To conclude, we give some ideas and opinions which can be adopted to enhance our educational institutions to carry out programs which can deal with the time being developing techniques. .

ABSTRACT This research aims basically to test and discuss the possibility of applying as well as the advantages of the Activity Based costing (ABC) in hospitals, the descriptive and practical approaches were adopted. The research falls into three main sections. The first section clarifies the characteristics of hospital activities, previous studies that tackled the application of ABC in hospitals, and reviews their results. The second section is the practical part where the ABC system was applied in a jordanian hospital at the pathological examination department which undertakes four main types of tests (blood, urine, excrement and fertility). The cost of each type of analysis was measured in accordance with the traditional system and the ABC system. The third section is devoted ti the practical results and the conclusions. The results concerning the cost measurement were variable in both systems. The cost within the ABC sys-tem was: 6.298, 1.450, 1.203, and 13.013 for each of the blood, urine, excrement and fertility tests respectively. Whereas the cost within the traditional system was: 6.200, 1.255, 1.025 and 17.770 for each type of the above mentioned tests respectively. The main reason behind variance in results id due to the variance of the methodology in allocating indirect costs in both systems. In the traditional system the allocation is done in one basic (direct labor or machine hours), while in ABC costs were allocated on the basis of more than one factor (cost drivers) which may be suitable for the cost item. The research ends with a number of conclusions and recommendations. .
