Abstracts

Abstract The investigation aims to identify the cognitive domain levels that measure the History textbook questions for the secondary- literary sixth Grade in Iraq, and to determine the percentage given to each level. The researcher analyzed the textbook questions according to "History Textbook Chart" which comprised of six cognitive levels of Bloom Taxonomy (Knowledge comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation). For the purpose or reliability three juries were chosen to analyze the questions prepared by the researcher. The Findings of the investigation reveal that the total of (63) questions out of (87) questions included in the textbook measure the memorization of knowledge with a percentage of 72.4%. A restricted chance is given to the student for comprehension level with a percentage of 25.2%. It is also found that only two questions with (2.2%) measures the student ability in evaluation. The application, analysis and synthesis levels are | neglected, On the basis of the results, recommendations and suggestions are introduced .

Abstract This paper has discussed the issue of repetition in Jarir's poetry from three perspectives, as seen in its structural types, its space dimensions, and its relationships of linguistic structures of poetic context with the words of repeated structures, in order to explore the stylistic characteristics that was established in the poet's production though repetition. .

Abstract The study took up “AL-DW AL-LAMI”, through the following topics *“AL-DW AL-LAMI” as a title and script. * Sakhawi's academic personality and the factors that formed these factories. * Presentation of contents. *Sources * Critical views Evaluation of the source, as conclusion. The fisrt part the study gave preponderance to the most correct title over the correct one, in light of reviewing the book's various titles scattering in the different libraries. The second part reviewed Sakhawi's academic personality and the factors that formed his personality, with their impact on his criticism through his autobiography in “Al-DW AL-LAMI” such as his birth place and date domicile, etc... The third part reviewed the book's contents and listed the people of dis tinction alphabetically. The fourth part took up Sakhawi's sources in “AL-DW AL-LAMI" such as his acquisition of knowledge, teaching, recitation, dictation, etc... The fifth part discussed the positive and negative critical views regarding the book which showed a great deal of frankness. The sixth part gave evaluation of the book which formed a collection of biographies of distinguished people - alive and deceased- over a full century. The final section of the book was devoted for the living people of distinction in Sakhawi's time .

Abstract This Study aims, through a comparative approach. at exploring the different view's of Fadwa Tuqan towards western civilization as envisaged in her poetry and her autobiography called “A Mountainous Journey A-Difficult journey”. However the study to trace the similarities or diffences between her poetry and does not mainly aim autobiography, but rather to explore the "Weltanschauung” of the poetess towards this civilization. The study shows that there is a discrepancy in the nature of view between her poetry and autobiography. While the western image in her poetry was negative, whether politically or culturally, this image was beautiful and positive in her autobiography. This discrepancy as the study shows-can be ascribed to one reason that has manifested itself in different forms: While Fadwa's assertion of her self in poetry approximates general and collective parameter, the assertion of self in her autobiography reglects her desire to realize her individuality regarding liberty and love. .

Abstract This research studies Ibn Al-Faredh's poem “Al A'yniyyah "from a rhythmical viewpoint. It emphasizes the significance and weight attached to vowels, sounds, and consonants, pointing out the revelations transmitted to the reader through these values. The paper also intends to explore Ibn AlFaredh's longing to give his Hijazi past experience the immediacy of the pesent and a trition in the future. In addition, this study discusses how the poet exploits the old Arabic pre- Islamic tradition to express his mystical vision. .

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine Jordanian Secondary-Stage Social Studies teachers' Knowledge of the nature of history and the effect of Sex, Specialization and qualifications on this knowledge. The Sample of the study consisted of (140) social studies teachers from Irbid First and Second Directorates of Education as well as Mafraq First Directorate of Education and Bani-kannana Directorate of Education. A test of the teachers' Knowledge of the nature of history constructed by the researcher consisting of (112) items was administerd to all the subjects of the study. The results of the study showed a low-level Knowledge of the nature of history by all teachers; it was lower than the educationally accepted standard (85%). The statistical analysis also showed that there were significant differences in such knowledge among teachers due to their specialization in favour of history, while no significant differences were noted due to sex or qualifications. .

Abstract The present paper deals with an important issue of “Al-Jerah and Atadil”. That is Judging the Narrators of the Traditions as being unknown by jurisprudents. Some jurisprudents extended their judgment to include some narrators as unknown though known by others. Among these Al-Imam Ibn Hazem Al-Dahiri who considered more than 150 narrators in his book “Al-Muhala bi Al-Athar”", as unknown. Finally, this paper tried to show the correct aspect of this issue. .
