Abstracts

Social education for the upper stage of basic education curriculum in Jordan over taken into account the sustainable development goals. This study aimed at introducing a social education for the upper stage of basic education curriculum in Jordan over taken into account the sustainable development goals. To achieve the goal of study, researchers prepared questionnaire consists of 54 items distributed on three dimensions: economic dimension, social, and environmental. Was checked by validity and reliability have been distributed to the study samples members (201) teachers were selected from the study population totaling (460), teachers and the way simple random. Results of the study have shown that taking into account the social education curriculum for the upper stage of basic education was very good and high degree of sustainable development goals on other hand in terms of deportation has a social dimension came in first place, the economic and environmental dimension in second place, the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the specialization and years of experience. while statistically significant differences due to the variable qualification for ihe Masters showed in light of these findings, the researchers recommend encourage teachers to enroll in graduate programs. The level of knowledge of teachers and social education and science in general of the Directorates of Education, public schools in the governorate of Irbid concepts of sustainable development. This study aimed to identify the level of knowledge of teachers of social education, science, public concepts of sustainable development, and to achieve the goal of the study promising researchers test-type multiple-choice be one of the 40 items, each paragraph (4) alternatives were verified reliability and validity testing of appropriate statistical methods were applied the study sample's members (100) teachers studying material social breeding of the total teacher’s social education totaling (460) teachers as well as the (100) teachers General Science of the total teachers in general science and totaling (420) teachers. The researchers used the method quasi-experimental, and the results showed that the level of knowledge of science teachers and social education was weak compared to the level acceptable educationally also did not show differences statistically significant due to the variable specialization (science, sociology) and qualifications while showed differences are statistically significant to the variable of experience and for the benefit of their expertise (5-10 and 10 years and over) who are on their experience Jess than (5) years? In light of these findings the researchers recommended to hold the sessions and the work of training workshops on sustainable development concepts for in-service teachers. This study seeks to determine the role of the Qur'an in the construction of educational curriculum to achieve sustainable development, the study used inductive deductive procedure through the full induction of the verses of the Holy Quran. The results showed the educational rules that underpin sustainable development in the light of the Holy Quran, which include: the belief in God and the Judgment Day, and good deeds masterly, and elements of sustainable development: the universe and human, life, and tools set forth in the Qur'an: Human and educated breeding, social solidarity and cooperation, time to think, Islam self, on the other hand, the most important standards and regulations for sustainable development as follows, justice, equality, and diversity of energies human, and the preservation of the five basics necessities, and to refrain from corruption on earth, balance and moderation, and the environment safe preventive, it is the educational approach to achieve sustainable development, including: inclusion, integration, and realistic, positive and practical attributes, and the study found a map of the matrix educational curriculum in sustainable development, including: levels of education, and the content of the curriculum, and the outcomes expected to be achieved, and concepts, terminology and facts and generalizations, methods, methods. This study aims to identify the reality of the role of the Colleges of Applied Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman in achieving the sustainable development and the prospective role in view of the 2040 education strategy. For data collection, the researcher developed a questionnaire on the sustainable development. The quality of the questionnaire was checked by checking the validity and reliability coefficients using the alpha equation, which was (a=0.95). The study involved a sample of 120 faculty members from all the colleges of applied sciences in the Sultanate based on the variables of gender, specialty, academic department, experience and qualification. The study reports a number of results. The role played by the colleges of applied sciences in the Sultanate of Oman in achieving the sustainable development is generally weak. The general average role in the sustainable development is 2.89, whereas, the averages were 2.41, 3.77 and 2.23 in the academic role, community service and the relationship between the specialties and labor market. However, the average of the challenges facing the colleges to achieve the sustainable development was 3.98, which indicates a sign of a big challenge. The study recommends support to the role played by the academic institutions in achieving the sustainable development in the society by studying the community's needs and relating the academic programs to those needs. Also, the study recommends enhancing and activating the mutual partnership between the academic institutions and community. Keywords: Role, colleges, sustainable development, reality, prospective .
