Abstracts

The study aimed to explore the current status of professional development of principals in the Arabic nation and to provide a recommended framework in order to enhance the professional development in Knowledge Society. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytic methodology by reviewing the related literature and inducting the findings of the relevant conferences and symposiums held in Arabic world. The current study concluded that the professional development of the Arabic of principals needs more attention and improvement because of lack of deficiency in the needs identification, lack of clear policies and objectives s, absence of the responsible authority, and insufficiency in the research efforts and technology application. The researcher provided a future vision regarding the enhancement of professional development of principals in Arabic countries to face the challenges of in Knowledge Society. The vision includes particular strategies to promote the professional development at the national, institutional, and individual level. .

This research aims to seek the possibility of reinforcing the concept of Sustainable Development through the objectives and contents of School Activity in Secondary Schools of Locality Khartoum / Sudan. The researcher used the Descriptive Approach and designed a Content Analysis Form to fill in with the objectives, programs-contents and syllabi-contents of School Activity, which are approved by the Ministry of Public Education for Secondary Schools for the academic year 2014/2015. The syllabi are restricted to (Art Education, Theatrical Education and Family Education). The most important results are as follows: 1. The objectives of School Activity in Secondary Schools are obvious and indicate clearly to the concept of Sustainable Development 2. Programs-contents of School Activity in Secondary Schools include knowledge and concepts, which indicate clearly to the concept of Sustainable Development 3. The implementation of programs-contents of School Activity in Secondary Schools, reinforces the concept of Sustainable Development through students’ mastery of lifetime-skills Among the most important recommendations: 1. School Activity requires awareness, sufficient equipment’s and training of human resources 2. Concentration on the practical aspects of School Activity reinforces the concept of Sustainable Development .

This study aimed to evaluate the kindergarten programs in Palestine according to the principles of sustainable education according to the teachers and principals’ point of view, and the study consisted of all kindergartens in the province of Tulkarm, and the sample of this study consisted of (62) female teachers and principals, at (17) of kindergartens in the province of Tulkarm. Sample was selected with the stratified random method according to the location of the kindergarten and the nature of the job. The researcher has used the rating interview as a tool for this study, and the results showed that the evaluation average of the curriculum of kindergarten in the province of Tulkarm according to the principles of development and sustainable education has reached (2.79) with medial average, while the total evaluation average of the activities and classroom environment was (1.72) with medial average. the results showed that there are differences in the degree of evaluating the curriculum of kindergarten due to these variables, years of experience and qualifications. The study concluded some recommendations, the most important was: The necessity of preparing an integrated curriculum by specialists so as to be used by all kindergartens and should include terms and activities related to the concepts of sustainable education. ABSTRACT The study aimed to identify the values and principles of sustainable development, in its economic, social and environmental dimension that contained in the courses of the human and universe in the basic education in Sudan, researchers used the descriptive analytical method through content analysis, by using analysis form included (26) factor represent economic, social and environmental dimension, the analysis covered (48) academic subject, researchers used the statistical package for social science (SPSS) to analyze the data of the study, the most important results are: 1. economic dimension principles of sustainable development are included in the | courses with rates ranged between (%18.8) and (% 2.1). 2. social dimension principles of sustainable development are included in the courses with rates ranged between (% 20.8) and (% 4.2). 3. environmental dimension principles of sustainable development are included in the courses with rates ranged between (% 22.9) and (% 6.2). The important ‏ؤ‎ ‎recommendation : is that courses has to include values and urges that encourage directly sustainability principles.: key Word: Sustainability, Curriculum, Course, Environment, Learning. .

This study aimed to recognize the degree of providing sustainable technique for professional development of primary school principals in m’sila from their point | of view, and_ the impact of the variables of sex, experience and educational qualification. To achieve the objectives of study and applied Sample of the study consisting of (40) ma! and female school principals. The study revealed these results: 1. The degree of providing sustainable technique for professional development of primary school principals in m’sila from their point of view existed in a medium level. 2. The mots methods related to the sustainable professional development were in communication was in very High degrees, then in managing the structure of the stuffed, then in training and continuous developing, however they were late in | managing conferences, and deputizing, managing conferences, and deputizing ‏ؤ‎ ‎were in very moderate degrees. moreover, the results showed that there were | no differences of statistical denotation at the level of{a=0,05) among the averages of the development completely from the view of the school principals according to the sex and experience and educational qualification. This study aimed to identify the extent to which university courses for specialization kindergarten to the principles of sustainable development and to achieve the goal of the study, the researchers prepare a questionnaire consisted of 36 items distributed on four areas (water, food, social justice, shelter and services) were verified validity and reliability ways appropriate statistical questionnaire distributed to the study sample totaling 85 students and 28 teachers were chosen randomly from the study population and of the total of its members (432) students and 28 teachers we’re using descriptive analytical method has the results of the study showed, The extent to which degree courses taught in Jordanian universities for students of specialty kindergarten to the principles of sustainable development from the perspective of Faculty members and students came medium, and water came in first place and a high degree, in light of the results of the study, the researchers have recommended that universities include the principles of sustainable development in the specialty courses kindergarten. The study aimed to identify the degree of contribution of educational represented by educational counselor in promoting sustainable development concepts among student of schools of Irbid Governorate from their point of view. To achieve the objective of the study researches were designed a questionnaire which consisted of (45) items, the questionnaire were distributed into four dimensions (cognitive, social, environmental and economic). Applied to a sample of 380 students from primary and secondary schools in the governorate of Irbid Schools students. The study results showed that the degree of contribution of educational counselor in promoting sustainable development concepts came highly on all dimensions and the tool as a whole. The results also showed no statistically significant differences between the mean responses study sample differences at the level of significance (a < 0.05) due to the variable gender in all dimensions of the study tool a (except for the economic dimension, TN favor of males. As well as there were no Statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a < 0.05) due to the viable study stage in all dimensions except for the social dimension and came to favor the secondary level, and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a< 0.05) due to the type of school and came differences for the a (benefit of public schools on the environmental dimension and in favor of private schools on the economic dimension. Accordingly, the researchers recommended the promotion of educational guidance programs, new subjects to achieve the concept of sustainable development and to ensure its implementation, and training sessions for mentors and guides in public and private schools together to exchange experiences in all areas. This study aimed at discovering the role of higher education in achieving sustainable development from the point view of Jerash University students. The population study consisted of (4209) all students of Jerash University. The study sample consisted of (253) students who answered the questionnaire items. They were chosen randomly in systematic way. The researcher has also developed a questionnaire on five rubric scale, with reference to the literature and theoretical studies the most prominent results that university education from the point view of Jerash University students came moderately in the areas of community service, students, and the administrative. The results also indicated that no differences are attributable both sex and college. Keywords: university education, sustainable development. .

This study aimed to identify the sustainable development programs at the University of Sudan for Science and Technology and its role and the obstacles and challenges they face in achieving sustainable development in Sudan, study sample consisted of deans and heads of : departments, professors and students of the faculties of Sudan University for Science and Technology and members of civil society, the sample consist of (300) persons, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method using a questionnaire to collect data. The most important results: the most sustainable development programs in Sudan University for Science and Technology, which aims to achieve development programs in Sudan are: forest science programs, educational programs, applied research programs. The most important role of the Sudan University for Science and Technology to achieving sustainable development is: the graduation of cadres in various disciplines, rehabilitation professors to work different stages of education, the establishment of lectures and workshops for members of the community and students in the deployment of family and community culture. The most important constraints and challenges of sustainable development in Sudan are as follows: weak financial possibilities - the differences and tribal wars - twice the funding sources. The study aimed at identifying the views of teachers in the public schools of Aleppo, Syria, on the role of educational technology in meeting the requirements of continual development. The researcher followed a descriptive-analytical research methodology and used a questionnaire that included two parts. The first part involved twenty items on the use of educational technology in teaching, whereas the second involved seventeen items on the role of educational technology in meeting the requirements of continual development. After insuring the reliability and validity of the research instrument, it was applied on a sample of one hundred teachers in six public schools. Results of the study showed that 93% of the teachers had positive attitudes towards the use of educational technology in teaching, 90% pointed out its important role in improving self-learning and continual development. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of males and females. As for the obstacles of using educational technology, 70% indicated that in- service teacher training courses were inadequate, and 53% complained about the lack of educational technology equipment and devices in the classroom.
